 In 2018 HPL Motors appointed Hindley Lawrence to seek opportunities to strategically grow their Car supermarket business. Having Identified various opportunities, matters were focused on the former Park and Ride site on Bluebell Way, Ribbleton in Preston that satisfied the specific site profile and locational requirements. The site was procured in July 2019 following a competitive formal tender process.

The site comprised 6.86 acres (2.78 hectares) in a highly prominent position fronting the slip road access to the M6 Southbound at Junction 31a, 3 miles to the North East of Preston City Centre. Local occupiers included the Vauxhall, Kia and Mazda car dealership, Blue Bell Way Service Station (Starbucks, Spar) Premier Inn, Beefeater and Booths Supermarket Head office. On the opposite side of he M6 the New Land Rover, Jaguar and Volvo dealership was about to start development.

Working with the development team, a planning application was submitted. Once planning consent was granted, construction started and the Property opened 6 months later in July 2020 .

The site is now the jewel in the crown of the HPL Motors car supermarket empire offering for sale up to 1000 cars on site making it one of the largest Car supermarkets in the North West.
